This situation is very nice for check-calling river. The bet-fold you suggest is reasonable with slightly worse hands. (There are not-so-easily-spelled-out-in-a-few-sentences reasons for having a slightly stronger check-calling range than bet-folding range. Aggressiveness of opponent can skew decision to more or less check-calling.)

I would make bet on flop smaller.
On river we can xc.

Flop bet can be smaller and you can actually check OTT too imo. You are not too afraid of fourth club, flush is already possible and now the board paired too. I don't expect villain to call your turn bet with many weaker hands.

We are not afraid of the 4th club but it can kill the action.

Maybe, maybe not. The board already has a possible flush and it is paired. So it is possible that villain is not calling the turn bet anyway and if he calls we are just donating money to his already made hand. And what do we do if he raises? We have only 2 clean outs.

Why do you bother folding a hand with 2 outs?... :)

I don't understand what you mean. When villain calls OTF and the board pairs OTT I don't expect to get calls from weaker hands. We are way ahead/way behind. Our hand turns into a bluff catcher. I don't usually play my bluff catchers aggressively.

One benefit of just checking is to keep villains range wide, if he then bets he probably has a lot more bluffs in his range. What are the benefits of betting? 4th club might kill the action? The action might already be dead and we might already be behind.
