Question is:

Should I bet flop like half pot? As played, should I bet turn?
As played, fold river? I just called because I see a lot of fishes in these tables doing this kind of stuff with middle pair/air. However in this case I think this was just a fold. In any case what are your thoughts?

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $50(BB) Replayer
SB ($1,583)
BB ($1,651)
Hero ($1,365)
UTG+1 ($2,928)
CO ($1,080)
BTN ($393)

Dealt to Hero K♣ A♠

Hero raises to $150, fold, CO calls $150, fold, fold, BB calls $100

FLOP ($511) 5♥ 4♦ 6♠

BB checks, Hero checks, CO checks

TURN ($511) 5♥ 4♦ 6♠ 4♣

BB checks, Hero checks, CO checks

RIVER ($511) 5♥ 4♦ 6♠ 4♣ K♥

BB bets $1,495 (AI), Hero calls $1,209 (AI), CO folds

Hero shows K♣ A♠
(Pre 66%, Flop 24.6%, Turn 0.0%)

BB shows 4♥ 9♦
(Pre 34%, Flop 75.4%, Turn 100.0%)

BB wins $2,929

Pre I would only raise 2,5 BB but with a table full of donkeys, 3x should be fine as well...

On the flop against two opponents I would not c-bet but switch to check/fold mode... These type of lowcard boards usually hit the donkey's flatcalling-ranges better than yours as the preflop aggressor...

As played I would also call the river, given this is a 0,25$ SNG and we are up against braindead fools (the fact that this idiot called preflop with 94o should be sufficient proof).

I am sure that the very same fool would have taken the very same line with lots of Kx hands that we dominate in this spot.

Until the river I would play the hand the same way in a 25c SNG. Especially in a game with a lot of fish a 3x raise is better than a smaller raise.

On the river, I would make a tight fold on his almost 3 times pot shove. There is a possibility he’s doing this with worse, but we need to win based on Cev already more than 41% (1209/2920) if the CO always folds here and with ICM in mind it’s even more. Also, we have a decent edge against most players and I wouldn’t go this away with a variance call like this.

Cheers,

only reason we would fold this is when we have a decent edge on our opponents. There will be more obvious spots.
Only hands we are affraid of 44,55,66... that maybe didn't know what to do otf and slowplay turns.

But my first reaction to this shove that this is a Kx very often...

It can also be random spazzz. I am surprised SDK recommends to fold here.

True. That is what I always have in mind. I used to be an 11$ full ring STT reg back in the times before black friday, and I feel like i'm playing just a fraction of the hands I used to play on those limits, but is being profitable. Players in this level make so so many akward and -EV situations, that I it seems that it is just more profitable to wait and take advantage of these spots, than playing a wider range and risking chips in this type of situations...

For this you need some good reads I think. I don’t think a random player will do that too often. Only a weaker K you will beat here I think.
