Stacks:
UTG Leo Pow ($1.01) 51bb
UTG+1 Hero ($2) 100bb
CO franjocker38 ($2.66) 133bb
BTN chapi848 ($2.78) 139bb
SB SOM i SEREM1 ($1.92) 96bb
BB alfonsoramos ($0.96) 48bb

Pre-Flop: (0.03, 6 players) Hero is UTG+1 Q♠: Q♣:
1 fold, Hero raises to $0.07, 1 fold, chapi848 calls $0.07, 2 folds
Flop: 7♣: 9♣: 8♣: ($0.17, 2 players)

Hero bets $0.12, chapi848 raises to $0.24, Hero raises to $0.77

Opponent was probably a recreational player, doing very strange betting sequences, so I really didn't know what range to put him here.

Is a raise the desired action on the flop? Having a blocker to a fairly high fd...

I don't like 3 betting the flop here. What are we hoping to achieve? We only get worse hands to fold and end up building a pot for hands that currently beat us and possibly drawing more less dead to.

I do not like the raise too. We make him fold all weaker.

I reraised because the flop was already very coordinated and I wanted the opponent to fold his projects. In the turn there are many cards I don't want to see: A, K, 6, T...even a club would not give me the higher flush.

Also, he was recreational, so he could be reraising me as a (semi) bluff.

Still, you dont achieve anything really. Accept that QQ is a great hand preflop but on this flop it is not the best anymore.

You don't have to fight every pot just because you have a premium hand pre-flop. Bet small and if opp continues you rather want showdown.

I see, so call mini raise and re-evaluate turn sounds better?

I'm not sure if I like the flop bet either. If you bet there it can be around 1/3pot. After you face a raise it is close whether you can call or not but by 3betting there you only isolate yourself against strong range.
