CO: 44 BB (VPIP: 90.24, PFR: 32.93, 3Bet Preflop: 12.50, Hands: 168)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 2♦ 5♦ A♠ 2♠

fold, MP raises to 3.5 BB, CO calls 3.5 BB, fold, fold, Hero?

Here opener is tight so I folded but is ever a defend? Maybe if 4way? or vs wide opener? BBvBTN = defend right, but what if single suited to the ace?

I would defend always. This hand has enough going on, youre closing action and get good odds for calling. Quite easy probably to play postflop, you either hit something good or youve easy fold with bad equity.

When you close the action and have to pay 2,5bb into a pot of 10bb you can do it with pretty wide range. With this hand you even have a lot of ways to hit the board and some nut potential.

It's better to be nit than too loose at the beginning, that can cost you way more than taking your time and improving your game as you get more experience :)
