Hey all,
I'm Nate, aka Rootsmantilt. I started playing back in the hay day when US players were allowed to play with the rest of us. I'm Canadian, 40yo, unemployed and want to keep it that way. Working is just so unnatural to me. I love the game so much that I'm willing to play the micros day in, day out, in my brother in law's dirty basement. I feel poker is a level playing field, no one has an advantage over anyone else. You bring you own arsenal of skills, knowledge, will power, mindset and whatever else to the game. Like the boy scouts say "Be Prepared!"
I'm here to breakdown any old habits and make a lifestyle of playing this beautiful game. In the past I have had some success and I know I can do it again if I'm willing to put in the time and effort to fill the huge leaks in my game. I've never gone completely broke before, I'm always willing to drop down and grind it back up. I've only taken money out the game to help make ends meet, always leaving a $20 in an account to rebuild with. So I've decided to use my meager BR to play MTSNG's on Stars and continue focus on tourney play as it grows.
I want to say thanks to the players that have been replying to the hands that I've already posted, it's helping a ton. I'm sure that I will be starting a blog thread here, because it's a great way to journal my sessions and get much needed feedback and encouragement from the community.
If anyone wants to pm me, go ahead. I'm open to chatting about the game or whatever else for that matter.
Take care and Good luck!
