Hero has 7♣:7♠:

Hero raises to 0.3
Villain re-raises to 1
Hero calls

Flop: 8♥: 7♦: T♥: Pot: 2.1
Villain bets 2.1
Hero re-raises to 7
Villain tanks then shoves
Hero calls

Final Board:
8♥: 7♦: T♥: 8♠: 5♥:
Villain shows T♠: T♣: and wins the pot

As villain 3-bet pre I think his range consists of mainly over-pairs and I thought villain was overplaying AA or KK or maybe even QQ. TT is the only hand in his 3-bet range that I'm dead against and I thought it was unlikely that he had J9s and wanted to charge draws/combo draws so I raised, once he jammed I was in a spot and ended up calling after tanking, should I fold bottom set? responses are appreciated

Pre-flop seems like a close call on a big 3bet, but I think it’s fine. Off course you need to go all the way if you have hit your set. This was a cooler spot I think and if you are raising the flop I would go all-inn, because you will never fold anyway if he shoves on you with so many chips invested.

I don't think I'd ever fold a set here Nitrol, I was just wondering if there's any way I could get away from being stacked on this board

We can call the 3b preflop as we are a bit deep.
We cannot get away here, imo.

I think not. This is ok as played. I have seen villain play overpairs like this sooo many times. You can't get away.

You maybe get away with overpair in a raised pot on a flop with this texture. You don't get away with set in a 3-bet pot. That would require transparent cards.

You call the shove based on hand strength relative to villain's range and pot odds, not "money invested".

Easy call preflop IP with 150bb and easy stackoff. If you start folding sets in 3bet pots you will be better off playing slots.

About the sizing - its close between raising to 7 like you did and just shoving against the pot-sized bet. We expect him to be strong-ish and shoving will make us look weaker. Just something to consider.. I dont think theres that much difference.

He 3bets TT OOP? 4bet lighter for value and include some 4b bluffs then.
