I have a sound engineering degree and switched to the video game industry a year ago because it is a more profitable business than music at the moment.

With the age of home recording reducing the production costs for artists, I have seen many very good recoding studios sadly disappear in the last few years. I have just started playing around with Unity and currently working on selling my audio / compositions in their asset store. Fingers crossed it will bring me in a nice side pot.

I look forward to reading how you progress in the coming months and good luck at the tables.

Nice to hear that. Send me a link I'll give it a look (or an ear). I 'm not that much on unity though, it is not user friendly enough for me. I don't really know a lot about programming/scripting and I can't really do what I want without a programmer friend in unity.

WEEKLY UPDATE

6 days after starting the challenge, I think I have to reduce my volume goal a bit. I was aiming for 50 spin & go per day but I couldn't make it. I should have played 300 but I did 226. Mono tabling is very slow. With an average of 6,5minutes per spin, it took me a bit more than 24hours to get that volume. Since I am not super excited about my results, I will keep mono tabling until I am totally comfortable and winning constantly.

I have decent ROI and ITM but a bit less EV. I think this is due to running good in the multipliers. Things went pretty good for the first half of the week and then it went either super good or super bad. I am learning to use PT4 but I don't trully understand every statistic. For example Sometimes I am in heads-up, around 10bb deep and I shove a small pocket pair, get called by a broadway and loose to a bigger pair. The line seem standard for me, but then I check my stats and my evROI and cEV dropped a lot because of a hand I think I played well.
Speaking about cEV, I'd like to hear your opinion about what seems to be a good number.

What should I think about my red line? I don't really know how to read it. I did a hand report with filters : NOT went to showdown & VPIP and surprisingly, I am up 14k chips on 1,3k hands. I even filtered again with the number of players to see if there was any difference in 3 handed or heads up and it is the exact same proportion. Average 10 chips won per hand. I conclude that the money I loose on that read line is essentially my small and big blinds. I would really need an expert eye on this situation.

Also I unlocked 10$ of my deposit bonus. I already had a few points before the challenge but I decide to count it for this week's profit.

It looks like it’s difficult to bluff on the stakes you are playing, but sample is still small and if that’s the case it’s not too bad to have a losing red line. So long you are playing profitable in the Spin & Go’s I think.

That's what I thought too. I usually raise for value and only bluff to steal limped pots or when vilain showed weakness like raise PF, check flop, check turn or something like that. Most of the time in HU pots. From times to times I do it also 3 handed but more rarely since they tend to trap a lot with good hands.

Today my evROI finally went above 0% !! (0.2% )

That’s a crazy first hand win, but then you can see that you can better lucky than good sometimes

Obviously luck helps from time to time Now I avoid open shoving on the first level of blinds with small pairs. I'm ok to call a 3bet shove or to 3bet shove myself on a raised pot though. Especially at those stakes, you get called/shoved by horrible hands. Today I got 3bet shove by T4o on the very first hand

Quick update for today's session. I won't post everyday's graph but I was quite proud of this session's results so I decided to share them. Net won is not that great because of poor itm % on the 4x multipliers I guess.

Also there was this hand. Perfect timing, 3 way pot, flopped the nuts and kept improving on every street until hitting the ultimate nuts and the cherry on top was vilain hitting his trips deuce

Well, at the moment I'd really need advices on how to review sessions and what to look for. Like you said on your thread, figuring out things by myself is probably a better strategy but I don't really know where to start. For now at 0.25$ the games are pretty soft though. I'm not even sure reviewing specific hands and situations would be a good time investment. Taking that time to play more and grow a bigger bankroll to shoot on higher stakes would probably be more profitable.

I'm pretty happy with the results. I couldn't play as much as I would have liked but I'll try to compensate next week. Also I went back to 2 tabling on the last 2 sessions, we can see a little drop on the yellow line. I also play smaller sessions during the day to stay more focused and avoid mistakes while 2 tabling. The mistake I often do is not paying attention to effective stack and call when I should shove or something like that. It doesn't happen that often though. Also there was 1 game when I disabled sounds and started reading something on another window, I sat out on vilain just stole my blinds until I was out. (shame on me )

As always I'd like to share a fun hand. For the moment I don't really identify bad hands to review so I only share fun ones but in the future I'll try to get more tricky hands and get advices on them.

How experienced are you in doing your DB analysis? Basically checking your VPIP, PFR, how much you c bet, fold to c bets, how your stats look in limp, 3 bet pots etc?
If this is super hard right now, don't worry, start slow. Pick each position in PT4 or HM2, and check daily your lost hands. Go through them, mark the ones where you are unsure or made mistake, write your thinking process and post them in your blog or hand evaluations.
I will try to help when I can with the rest but start with hands, all the answers are hidden there anyway

My experience in db analysis ? Close to 0 I'm relatively new to using a tracker.
I'll try to take a few hours and try to filter hand reports at the end of the week, we will see what I can find.

Today after a quick winning session of 0.25$ 2 tabling (27 spins, 163 cev, 22% evROI and 60% actual ROI) I passed the 50$ mark on my BR and decided to take a shot a 1$ spins. I decided to involve max 10$ so I'd have stopped at 10 BI lost. Luckily I didn't loose anything but the session wasn't really good either : 27 spin and go, evROI -6,83%, cev 6, evITM 33,76%. I ended the session with 40,74% itm and 3 BI won so I'll continue to play 1$ for the next ones.

I felt a big difference between 0,25 and 1. I can't really say if it was real or simply in my head though. On average, I got called by really tighter ranges. I think I will play 1$ on 1 table until hitting decent evROI and cev or loosing 10BI.

After another quite deceiving 1$ session (1tabling this time, cev and ROI drowning a lot. Tougher heads up matches combined with really bad luck. I lost a ton of flips and even more 70/30 etc..), I finally hit a x25 and won it ! I knew taking a shot at 1s would be a good idea

Here you can choose the colors you want and the thickness ! I used 1 for blue and red, 2 for green and 3 for the yellow one

Quick update after 200ish games on 1s. Very deceiving. I had a terrible start combined with a 25x win. Then either good sessions (100+ cev) or really bad ones. Especially the last one, that big drop in the very last part of the yellow line. Graph talks by itself, curves are very chaotic.

I can't really find the problem. I can't really tell if I changed anything in my game. Red line is quite different so probably I should try to steal less and play for value only. Also I often play HU vs weird profiles I don't manage to adapt to. People limping 100% hands. I got trapped a lot by strong hands lately.

Since I didn't loose anything, I will continue on 1$ spins 1 tabling for the next days. Hope that I will continue to have those good sessions and get rid of the losing ones. I will take a few hours tomorrow when updating the BR challenge and try analyzing loosing spots and fin those leaks.

Last 2h session of the week. I'm quite happy with the results. Overall this week was very good money wise (BR increased by 81,4%) since I won the 25x but I'd say half of my 1$ sessions were really bad. Instead of playing tonight after dinner I will review as much as loosing hands especially HU. Also today I started marking hands on the go while playing. We will see if that helps (I wasn't doing it so much before because the first time I tried, I lost a bit of time searching the way to do it and sit out with JJ and shortstack, I was kinda pissed off and told myself to focus on the game and nothing else)

Crazy crazy bad run since yesterday. Worst downswing since the beginning of this challenge. I made mistakes for sure but I also had crazy high number of coolers. Also I ran terrible on the flips and was behind very often when following push/fold charts. Seemed like every time I shoved a combo of cards, vilain had a better one (Ax vs better A, big broadways vs Ax, pair vs better pair). I managed to stay calm and not to tilt (I guess) even if some hands were awful like losing to a 80/20 on a x10..

I'm not sure about what to do now. I'm down a ton of buy ins but really felt like those two sessions were more like variance striking back rather than missplays. I unlocked 10$ of bonus so I still have 58$ left and I don't really want to go back to 0.25$ spins. Not sure if I go down limit when I reach 100x0.25$ or sooner. I knew I couldn't win every day for any longer but it felt so cruel.

If you want to cry a bit with me, here are a few nice hands for you It was like this for 150 games. Getting called by ridiculous hand turning into nuts. Being bluffed by ridiculous hands, making the right call, get owned by the deck..

Also I applied to 3 stables and all of them rejected me either for geographic reasons (SpinLegends can't accept Canadian players) or for lack of played volume.
If you guys know decent free spin & go learning material, feel free to share it ! Live videos are fine but most of the time the coach just shows the hands played so you don't see what hands he folds in what situations. I'm looking for more advanced material like charts or basic strategies pre/post. I think I watched all I could find here.

Hey buddy - quick tip.
Move down to 0.25 cents and rebuild BR.
I am 4 tabling 15s and am always ready to expect 200-300 buy ins swing in Spins. Besides having my BR, talked to friends who staked me in the past to jump in if needed. Variance is crazy in spins, you can have high cEV but variance won't choose when it strikes with those coolers/setups pre or post flop.
I haven't seen any strong free material for spins, its new game and nobody wants to share edges for the game for free.
Get PIO Solver and learn to use it. It will show you how to play range vs range optimally form IP and OOP as well as what is +EV strategy when you adjust players calling or betting strategy. This is probably best learning tool you can get for 200-250$ worth. For pre flop spots get ICMizer or HRC. Its worth the investment to check different cEV plays for L/T, Shoving, R/c, R/f.
