PokerStars 8500+1500 - NLHE Tournament (STT, 9-man, Regular) - 50/100 Blinds - 4 players

CO: t2370, 24 BBs
BTN: t1313, 13 BBs
SB: t3392, 34 BBs (32) VP:31 PFR:12 AF:2.2 3B:0 AS:16 FS:100 CB:0 FC:0 WS:54 W$:66
Hero (BB): t1925, 19 BBs

Preflop: (t150) Hero is BB with T :heart: 8 :heart:
2 folds, SB calls t50, Hero checks

Flop: (t200) A :heart: 9 :heart: 6 :diamond: (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets t100, SB raises to t500, Hero ???

I like to play these draws when my fold equity is big, which is not the case.
I feel i'm getting called enough to just shove in this situation, especially on Bubble.
I can't give my opponent anything less than A2x+,66,99, plus he's the chip leader on Bubble and i consider him a good player with sane stats and a normal aggression factor post-flop.
I'm also in 2 last places, however with a working stack and i can wait (regular).
I ended up folding, although pondered for a bit. Thoughts?

Fold is standard for sure, because you don’t get a fold if you shove. Off course it’s difficult to represent a big hand with limping in the first place, but with a fish you can expect anything.

Flop I would check-call, we are put in a hard spot if we bet and get raised. There are a lot of turn cards on which we improve. As played I would fold as well.

Check/call isn’t an option when we are playing in position, but checking to see a cheap turn card seems fine. I don’t think a semi bluff is that bad when he doesn’t represent much.

My purpose on semi-bluffing was mostly for my draw equity and been IP. If i check here and hit the Turn, the board will look really ugly and the action will freeze. However, in some cases like the above it gets ugly before the Turn :f_cool:
