Explain your play please. Why do you call preflop? Why do you raise on flop?

I can sort of agree with calling pre but then again: off suit hand, possibly dominated and potentially multiway and OOP vs both.
And I don't get the flop raise. It is simply just bad. Your hand has small chances to improve and its strength is not good enough to raise for value. If you raise this, you will probably raise any hand that is better than this and then some bluffs = huge part of your range.

Thanks guys so far.

@nitrol,
I am calling preflop because of two reasons:
- since we have a caller, it gives me a good price calling with a broadway cards
- I am also experiencing calling from BB, not just folding right away

On the flop I am checking beause I am not the pre-flop aggressor, but 3betting, because I have a made hand anyway. And it is not the best hand, if I just call, then I give them a good prive to improve.

@la55i,
I know that the flop raise is questionable, this is why this hand is here :f_wink:
Could you please explain this a bit further? "If you raise this, you will probably raise any hand that is better than this and then some bluffs = huge part of your range."

Yea sure.
I think this particular flop is ok to check raise from time to time, but I don't think TPGK is a good hand to do so. You of course can check raise with sets and with some bluffs, but this seems too wide to me. Imo your hand strength is not strong enough to raise as value, and it doesn't work well as a bluff either.

If you xr this semi ok hand, I expect you will xr any hand that is better than this? And when you xr as value so much, you have to add some bluffs too. This means you will xr very often with not so good hands and villains might notice this.

This hand works better as check call. And since you have a decent hit, are multiway and ppl tend to check it down mw too much, you could actually lead.

La55i, both villains are short.

Yea I didn't notice that, but I'm not sure if that will change my opinion anyway. Probably it just makes raising TPGK even worse since villains might call wider and BTN could be tempted to just ship it.
