I've been consistently losing flops when I'm 70% to 80% favorite going in. The site is BETONLINE which I'm beginning to think is rigged. Last night I get some clown to call AA with QJo and player gets a 10 on the river to complete straight! I've lost KK twice in the last 2 days, once against AJo and once against AJs, both times player flopping 2 pair. I can see it happening once it awhile but I've lost like 6 or 7 in row! I'd love to try another site but I'm in Maryland and this is the only one worth playing on. Am I jumping the gun going all in??? Any feedback much appreciated!
Hey DTraaain,
Welcome to PokerStrategy.com ![]()
If you are getting all the chips in the middle with AA/KK preflop and getting called then you are doing the right thing. I remember 4-tabling 45 manners on Stars and getting AA, KK and AK all at the same time, got all the chips in the middle preflop and lost all of them. ![]()
This is just natural variance. Looking at a strike rate calculator, at 80% probability you will still have losing runs of 4 (This is only a sample size of 1,000. Higher sample sizes would return a higher run of outs). Most can't handle losing AA twice in a row let alone 4.
What games and limits do you play? We should be able to link you to some strategy and/or videos specific to what you play. ![]()

Hey I totally agree with them.
When I read Poker Theory I think Mr. Sklansky commented something that help me a lot.
Is something like this: If you are playing a hand like AT and fold to an over aggressive nit player and someone calls and in board comes TTxxx and the caller won with QT your mind you start to register this as a trick "T always come to the board".
It's what happening to you! Pick up your hand history and evaluate how much do you win or lost with this hand and you'll have the answer.
it's very difficult to play with KK and QQ against AA on partypoker.
Just imagine - beginning of the tournament stack is 30.000 start, blinds 150-300, mr X raise 750, I reraise with KK 2100, and he push all in 30.000, and I call of course
