Nice changes even not as great as was expected...

7500 VPP for PlatinumStar is great change indeed and extending period to retain SN & SNE status is probably even better.

But who really cares about cancelling 10k VPP requirement for milestone bonuses... If you are able to reach 200k+ VPP per year, additional 10k is not important imo

Now if they only would have another level between Supernova and Supernova Elite, I'd be a happy camper. At the current rate I will make about 20k points a month.

After they said "soon" 11 months ago, lol.

These are great changes imo. Every change they have announced in that statement is good, so weres the bad? Surely they must be making another part worse?

PokerStars doesn't care too much about microlimit players, because they (players) don't give a fuck about such promotions the most of the time. Sure, there're some serious players who are moving up he limits, but 95% of the rest are just recreational players who like to spend time with poker. They have no idea how FPP's system works, how do they recieve FPPs and many of them didn't even realize they recieve anything at all....

Let's look at this as at some kind of motivation to move up faster

VPP and FPP 2 different things?

VPP= from rake, and is used for clearing bonus and moving up the levels

FPP= used for tournament entry etc and stuff from the store, subject to a bonus multiplier from your level

Is that about right?

Or does the silver thing mean its easier to get to gold as you have the multiplier?

VPP (so called "base FPP") are counted from rake but they have no other value than identifying your VIP level - you can't use them.

FPP are frequent player points and are derived from VPP. If you're bronze your FPP = VPP,
you get 1.5 FPP / 1 VPP as silver,
2 FPP / 1 VPP as gold,
2.5 FPP / 1 VPP as Platinum,
3.5 FPP / 1 VPP as SN and
5 FPP / 1 VPP s SNE

FPP are points tham can be redeemed for cash bonuses, items from PS shop, buyins to tournaments etc.
They won't help you to reach higher VIP level faster, because they are not related to that at all.

ty, was what i thought, only became an issue a couple of days ago when i got up to silver, prob wont make gold this month, but hopefully next with the lower targets

A new player playing at PS starts with bronze:
If I achieve 1000 VPP in Feb
and 2000 VPP in March (silver),
then at the end would I get 1.5(1000+2000) = 4500 FPP??
Or would it be 1000+1.5(2000) = 4000 FPP since I was bronze in Feb ?

not really:

February: if you achieve 1000 VPP, you get 1000 FPP
March: your monthly VPP are reset, so if you earn 2000 VPP, you get 1500x1 + 500x1.5 = 2250
-----------------------
3250 FPP in 2 months

But, because you were silver in March, you'll start next month as Silver too, so if you achieve 2000 VPP again in April, you get 2000*1.5 = 3000 FPP that month.
