Poker Stars, $2.10 Buy-in (40/80 blinds, 20 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: 12,525 (156.6 bb)
BB: 2,962 (37 bb) 45/30/11 hands
UTG: 2,545 (31.8 bb)
MP: 577 (7.2 bb)
Hero (CO): 2,948 (36.9 bb)
BTN: 2,675 (33.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with J♥: Q♥:
2 folds, Hero raises to 200, BTN folds, SB calls 160, BB calls 120

Flop: (720) T♣: 9♥: 5♦: (3 players)
SB checks, BB bets 80, Hero raises to 432, SB folds, BB calls 352

after sb checks and BB minbets, I think I can reraise my openender hoping to maybe take it down right here. BB could be minbetting with a pair

Turn: (1,584) 6♦: (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets 720, BB calls 720
after the check I decide to size up for a river shove, if at this point he has the 78, too bad for me, but if hes not folding his pair after my turn bet, then he has to fold it on the river.

River: (3,024) A♥: (2 players)
BB bets 480, Hero raises to 1,576 and is all-in, BB folds

I never expect him to have an ace here after two barrels, so this card only helps my river push. But he is now betting OOP, leaving me thinking what should I do as I only win the hand by him folding, so I push anyways giving him 5:1 odds for a call

Results:

Spoiler

3,984 pot
Final Board: T♣: 9♥: 5♦: 6♦: A♥:
BB mucked and lost (-1,852 net)
Hero mucked J♥: Q♥: and won 3,984 (2,132 net)

This is a weird hand for sure. The line and bet sizing of our villain makes not much sense I think.
The river is for me a fold or push, because with calling we lose most likely and with shoving you have still some fold equity against his weak range of hands he’s most likely playing like this. If you have reads he will most likely not fold his hands enough I would make a fold here.
