Opp is nit, x/r turn = 0% with decent sample size.
Just can't see hands we beat here as most fl/dr he would x/r flop (if at all).
Do we have to call it of river here?

we never have to...anything...
but if its a good spot it would be suboptimal to not call off but i would just fodl
your hand is nothin more as a bluff catcher
vs nit sb flat range which got a lot of small pockets its just a fold...if he uses his image and turns like 67 of clubs into bluff of fine....but he wont...
there are just much more combos which beat us than we beat......

Against a nit you can already fold on the turn. I expect he’s never bluffing like this and it’s difficult to improve your hand on the river as well.

totally agree, but vs diff opp i must call with such runout as 5 is a good card (takes away some 55 combos from his range and counterfeits A2 + fl/dr misses.
I don’t think he would have any 5x combo’s at all in his defending range or it’s A5 and 55. A2 isn’t a great hand to defend ether against a MP open I think. The turn would be a blank for me and he could have some sets in his range that he now wants to check/raise for value and the river 5 makes a set less likely with only 55 and 88 the only hands in his range that beat you.
Against a decent player you could bluff catch the river with missed draws and some weaker Ax combo’s, but then you could ask yourself why he isn’t raising those hands on the flop.
