Well there is always another way ;)
Although your line is ok i´d suggest that we could cb the turn because a) he´s not calling us w/ worse hands b) we have 18 (I´m prob. too wirred to count correctly right know) but if he´s got the straight an no :club: covered we´re a ~40% dog w/ one card to come and not much dead money in the pot.
So we´re either stacking off as a dog or seeing a free river where he might catch someting and pays us off.

and ps: bet more on the flop. About $3 to full pot.

would this be a check behind without the FD? I think my hand is too strong on turn to play for pot control adding the FD.

that is pretty result oriented thinking. there is only one hand that beats us at the turn and that is 75 and even against that we have a ton of equity.
he'll have some 2 pair combos + maybe also a backdoor fd, sets etc etc that will c/c the turn that checking back there is a leak HU.

I agree with going for full pot on the flop, it won't change the callingranges.
