hi,

Does anyone have a solution for the intensive use of cpu by pokertracker 4 on a macbook pro late 2011.
The fan spins very loud and I was wondering if this is normal.
I recently noticed this issue so I assume the problem wasn't there a year ago.
I reseted my database to make sure it's not larger than 5gb

regards

Can you please enable logging, reproduce this problem and then send your log file to us in a Support Ticket so we can see if there is anything in there that could be causing that. You can access the log file by clicking 'File --> Show User Data Folder' in the main PokerTracker 4 window - the file we need is the text file called 'PokerTracker4.log' that is in that folder. Thank you.

Hello ! I think that you know this ,but maybe you have a lot of dust around your fan .I'm just guessing . It would explain the loud sound . Good luck !

That sounds like it's most likely NoteTracker processing your hands. You can see how far along in processing it is by clicking Tools -> NoteTracker and going to the Status page. Once it's totally caught up you won't see this kind of behavior going forward - NoteTracker is, unfortunately, a very CPU intensive process. But the data it gives you is worth the effort.
