Rivered Quads in live game

I'm totally confused. Everybody limps for 2 and somebody raises for only 5 ?

Then every sizing postflop is ridiculous too.
In my country at casinos people tend to bet really big, is it an australian thing or did I misread ?

I understand the confusion. I like to think of it as a 1/2/12 game. Blinds are 1/2, but if you actually want to play a hand you usually have to play at least 6 BBs. Other times when you think you’ll have a big limped family pot one of the blinds likes to min raise to build the pot… (my theory is that they work for the casino and are just trying to drive up the rake)
Crown (the casino that is also hosting the Aussie Millions) is probably the best poker floor you can find in all of Australia. They host about 30ish tables a night with games ranging from 1/2 NL to 5/10 Omaha. The 1/2 game is probably the softest game you will find anywhere (apart from home games).

However the BB was a really strange player (1 hand before he decided to 4-bet all-in with 7-9 off against an early position raise and button 3-bet). His actions and sizing absolutely didn't make any sense.
The bet sizes were as stated in the original post.

Would you recommend playing the hand faster on the turn?

I will post a few more hands later on, where bet sizes are a little more standard.

Raise turn bigger, this looks really small on first sight and you're probably giving them direct odds this way.

OTR i would 100% just rip it in, your raise OTT is already superstrong so you basicly have 0 bluffs left.
Yes he would fold his flushes most of the time, which he should. But he'll call you 99.9% of the time with his aces and that's what we're targeting.
