[Closed] $1/$2 SH J8s BB defence, when to let go of middle pair?

I play c/c flop + c/c turn and give him a chance to double-barrel with nothing

However he could bet/3-bet the flop IP with Flush Draw.
So do you have reads on him ?

I'm not folding my middle pair against a guy like this, he could easily play any draw this way.

danielasso, using this line don't you lose value and risk a free card from a check behind on turn v any draw?

Or are you worried about a fold from villian on flop after raise?

No reliable reads other than villian was playing loose and running good, only 20 hands v this opponent.

But he plays 2 randoms cards from the BTN.. so Flush Draw is not too much on his range...

He colud have often a gut-shot with KQ, KT, QT of course

However he has many A on his range

I'm not sure my play si correct, but I think is fine

If you know well your opponent you can find the right way.

Passive line is the perfect line sometime

C/C flop and reevaluate at Turn and River.

20 hands are not enough to pick a useful read from the stats.

As played u should call the blank river. Villain 3-betted the flop IP so his Range is not really strong. Could easy be a flushdraw or a Gutshot and the Pot ist 8.25BB.

I don't agree, you can pick up tendencies after 20 hands. A 50/25 will almost never become a 24/18, just like 5/5 will never become a 60/10. They're not really useful, but they can already identify a certain type of opponent, and you can always play better against that than against somebody with no stats.

Sometime, I'm 50/40/2 over the 1st 40 hands of one session, and my golbal stats are around 27.5/22/1.7.

This hand is a kind of wa/wb situation most of the time (ok, there is a flushdraw). So I like to c/c flop, c/c turn, reevaluate river.

Still don't agree as 50/40 is something completely different from 50/25

Hi Waiboy,

I play both lines here. Sometimes I check/raise and sometimes I check/call. That depends on the history I had with him and about how he plays.
He seems to become a LAG so I like check/raise calldown here a bit more.
