Hi!

Could you please share your opinion with me regarding preflop bet sizing in tournaments? I mostly play micro stakes tournaments on PS, and call me old school but most of the time I bet bbx3. At later stages of the tournament, where the blinds get big and stackes are shallow, I bet bbx2-2.5.

I've several theories, where you should bet by default bbx3 + 0.5 bb/every limper before you.
Others say that you should not bet this big, just bbx2 and 2.5 at max.

What's your opinion on this? What is the best nowadays?

At the micro’s your sizing is fine I think. I would even raise like 3bb+1bb per limper in the early stage of a micro tournament with mostly fishy players in it.

Thanks!

How does it change on bigger limits? You bet smaller?

Thanks!

Then you can indeed raise smaller with less fishy players in the tournament.
