PokerStars - 25/50 Ante 6 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: 21.7 BB (VPIP: 26.67, PFR: 16.67, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 30)
BB: 17.32 BB (VPIP: 41.18, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 17)
Hero (UTG): 20.52 BB
MP: 45.54 BB (VPIP: 36.36, PFR: 18.60, 3Bet Preflop: 3.70, Hands: 90)
CO: 29.66 BB (VPIP: 51.16, PFR: 10.98, 3Bet Preflop: 6.67, Hands: 90)
BTN: 45.26 BB (VPIP: 100.00, PFR: 5.88, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 17)

6 players post ante of 0.12 BB, SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 2.22 BB) Hero has J♥ A♥

Hero raises to 2 BB, fold, fold, BTN calls 2 BB, fold, BB calls 1 BB

Flop: (7.22 BB, 3 players) 9♣ 8♣ J♠
BB checks, Hero bets 4 BB, BTN calls 4 BB, fold

Turn: (15.22 BB, 2 players) 8♦
Hero bets 14.4 BB and is all-in, fold,

It seems a good hand to bet flop and if it comes a blank on turn shove, the 8 it isn't a complete blank but it makes less probable that he has an 8. He could call with worse, some draws....... Or do you prefer to control pot in this case where some turn cards could devalue my hand?

Cumps ;)

I would have bet the flop a little bigger, around 4.5 - 5BB, for protection. As played I would have pushed against this specific player, too.

Sizing on flop could be more indeed, but the rest of the hand I would play the same.
Even against a random player on a 25c SNG is this the most profitable line I think.

That for sure, but that depends also when they show strength and how.
