I just want some feedback on this texture. On the turn I opt for the x/c rather then lead so we see a river.
Just the thing is, is our 9 ever going to have showdown value here. I kinda felt like I was giving him money.

Thoughts?

Villains range should have pocket pairs that may not fold, he also has KQ,AQ hands. You are oop with a weak second pair, so I would consider just checking the flop.

How does checking the flop help our 9?

Also, assuming we x/c the flop, what's your line on the turn?

Our hand basically was a bluff preflop. It sucks to play OOP and our hand is not that great. I also don't assume we have that huge fold equity here. If we check, villain can check behind and if he does that we usually can bet very aggressively because he folds way too much in that spot. If he bets and we call, we still might have the best hand and he might slow down OTT. I think it is reasonable line to xc flop and then x/decide OTT based on action, bet sizes and so on.

But what if we bet? How does this hand go then? We obviously fold vs a raise. If villain calls, do we bet again? Or do we check/call, check/fold?
It just sucks to play this out of position and if we start betting we might be in trouble.
