Hi,

just have a look at this hand:

Party Poker 0.05/0.10 Hold'em (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Preflop: BlackFlush is MP2 with K, Q.
UTG calls, 2 folds, BlackFlush raises, 4 folds, BB calls, UTG calls.

Flop: (6.40 SB) 3, J, A (3 players)
BB bets, UTG calls, BlackFlush folds.

Turn: (4.20 BB) J (2 players)
BB bets, UTG calls.

River: (6.20 BB) T (2 players)
BB bets, UTG raises, BB calls.

Final Pot: 10.20 BB

I thought of just winning with a T, so I got 4 outs (4 T) and with this odds of 10,75. The pot only give me odds of 6,4 and I have to call on the turn again if I don't hit the T. So I decided to fold. Is this calculation right? I'm asking because I have calculate the odds only a few times and I don't know if I do it the right way.

You're right. I know it sucks to see your draw materialize after you fold, but you'll learn to see past that after you get your odds down. Just knowing you made the correct play becomes your consolation

Oh, I didn't ask because of the river. I know if the odds are against me, it's just a waste of money if I call.

It was just one situation when I decided to calculate my odds and realized I'm not really sure about calculating them.

4 cards that help you / 47 cards remaining. Divide 47/4 and set that against 1 and you have your ratio.
