Hero (BB): $234.92 (117.5 bb)
CO: $215.55 (107.8 bb)
BTN: $200 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K♦: J♦: 7♥: 8♠:
2 folds, SB raises to $6, Hero calls $4

Flop: ($12) 7♠: 9♦: 8♦: (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $8, SB calls $8

Turn: ($28) 3♥: (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $26.75, SB raises to $107, Hero calls $80.25

River: ($242) 4♣: (2 players)
SB bets $183.63 and is all-in, Hero calls $113.92

Villain is a tight reg. 22/22, 300 hands. SB steal 17% (1/6). Cbet 44%

Some advice on turn and river would be helpful, please. Particularly, our bet sizing and whether we can fold to the x/r.
Thanks

The turn is interesting. I would most like bet a little bit more then half pot, but I’m a PLO fish. I would most likely just fold after his big raise, because you have a weak 2 pair hand and you need to hit your flush to win I think. The river seems like an easy fold against a regular.

Do you mean betting more than 1/2 pot on the flop?

As you probably already know, we as IP player when facing a x from the PFR we are supposed to do a lot of stabbing and choosing a 1/2 sizing allows us to bet a lot more hands than if you choose 75%. Hands that contain 1 high diamond and preferably block a pair from the board, 2 pairs blocking a diamond, nut gutters with a diamond blocker, straights, blockers with some form of equity, etc. Its also going to be harder for OOP player to defend the right part of his range vs smaller sizing, whereas vs bigger sizing its much easier. If you choose bigger sizing you are sort of polarizing yourself early in the hand which is not beneficial being IP where we can take advantage of those texture shifting cards a lot more. On the other hand the PFR is supposed to do a ton of checking on very drawy boards for the reason his OOP and is going to have to play 3 streets OOP where the nuts will change so frequent. Good player will check made straights here without back-up equity very often so you can't just recklessly be bombing every runout thinking he doesnt have it once he takes a x/c line.
As played I see no way you can fold the turn with the gutter, fh outs and the FD, but I wouldn't be betting pot there, it doesnt accomplish much except for denying opponents equity with your particular hand.
btw fold the river.
