Preflop: Hero is BB with A♠, K♥
3 folds, BU calls $0.10, SB folds, Hero raises to $0.50, BU calls $0.40.

Flop: ($1.05) K♦, J♥, A♦ (2 players)
Hero bets $0.70, BU calls $0.70.

Turn: ($2.45) T♥ (2 players)
Hero checks, BU bets $0.50, Hero calls $0.50.

River: ($3.45) 5♣ (2 players)
Hero bets $0.80, BU raises to $2.00, Hero folds, BU gets uncalled bet back.

Final Pot: $5.05

Here I raise off the blind for value. Try to protect on the flop and then a horrible turn. Should I fold turn? The river was a bet/fold essentially. I figured I would scoop the pot if he has no queen.

Preflop: OK
Flop: Bet pot, protect from gutshot & flushdraw.
Turn: I would Bet/Fold turn. Betsize would be $1.50 or something like that.
River: Check/Fold.

42 vpip 0 pfr 45 wts i'm not sure he's ever going to fold any piece of that board, likely calling with any ace twice, maybe calling a third bet with worse two pairs.

isnt there value in betting the river against such a loose guy as long as he doesnt raise the turn, which his AF suggest he would do with the nuts ?

You only have 26 hands... I wouldn't check the stats on such player.
