My Poker

Let's get right to the point. I am a winning heads up player, thinking about joining SpinLegends. I am lost, I feel like it's a long term commitment. So why do I want to join anyway:

-To learn an effective practical winning strategy.
-To move up the stakes and not to worry about building a bankroll. (I mean If I was able to reach the diamond level, I will be making a lot of money. Levels that I'm afraid to play on my own, even if I had the money.) (Mental coach needed obviously)
-I will have coaches and a whole community to support me. (Hopefully)

So That's about it. I don't know if I like spins or not. I like making good decisions, I mean my favorite game is heads up deep stack. I hate when the blinds goes up. I feel that takes the skill out of the games. But yet again,as a sng hu player, there are another set of skills to acquire and to put into action once the blinds are high.

Anyway, I was accepted in the Silver team. I have sent many emails, made it rain with questions, and the Spin Legends team have been kind, patience and answered all my questions, with clarity. Is there a way to send these guys cookies? My Mum is a chef so...

My Life

My name is Patrick, and I am from Lebanon. I am currently studying for my Masters, in philosophy. My future career is obviously in that field, whether in teaching or researching. We are all into philosophy, one way or another. I will mention few names here, in case anyone have read their works, and can relate to me. Spinoza has shaped my thinking, I am also deeply interested in Feuerbach mentality, his book "The essence of Christianity" changed my life. Enough of that for now.

I have gone through a major life changing, that is why I decided to seriously get back to poker. And I have finally decided to make this blog, a way to think about the game in a serious way and with others, and to share my life with other poker players, because poker is only a part of my daily life, and there is so much going on.

Let me know your thoughts on Spin and go, and Spin legends.

My Poker

So I was accepted in Spin Legends, silver team, to play a number of games on 0.25$ level. I didn't start right away, I spend the first few days studying the new strategy. A lot of new materials was waiting for me, I was very excited and a bit frustrated, I thought poker was easy money, well there is nothing easy about studying hard, but at the end of each day, I felt I was learning new theoretical ideas and gaining new practical knowledge on spin and go. I already felt good that I was in.

I didn't notice how much I am improving, till day 5 or 6, I was reviewing my day, and I noticed that I had won 6 games in row. I didn't even know that I was winning. All I really cared about was to apply what I learned. Did I play that hand correctly? That was my biggest concern.
I had my bad days, in one of them, I think I lost 18 games in row, my reaction was surprising even to myself, because I kept playing the same way. I knew I was playing according to the spin legend strategy, and that was just enough to keep me going. I didn't tilt, I didn't lose my game, I didn't lose my focus. This staking have shaped my attitude and is transforming me into a professional player.

It took me 20 days to finish the games that I was told to play, around 2-3 hours a day, with time to study my hands and the strategy. It was great. I sent my hands history to the school, and I was told I could move up to 1$. That move up felt gooood. Even though it's still micro stakes, I felt like I am setting a very strong foundation for a great journey. It took me 15 days to finish the next level!
In the 1$ level, I was focusing more on my post flop game, and have also added new adjustments in my pre flop game. You see in Spin legends the coaches are constantly working on the strategy, and it just feels both good and safe to be a member in this school.
So now I will be starting to play on the 3$ level. And I don't want to post my results because at this level they don't really matter, I was told that I will be making most of my money when I move up to higher level, and that's what really matters, to keep studying and moving up!
