So I was thinking i'll barrel any diamond / 6. But then the worst diamond in the deck appears, so I decide to check back.
I think my sizing was off on the river, I had no time bank and couldn't fully think through the hand.
In retrospect I think 2/3 would of been a better size. I was thinking of perhaps over-betting, I think the bigger sizes though he could even fold QQ. But I don't really put that in his range when he checks twice, although it could be.
He tanked for ages before folding so i'm not sure how strong he was but it seemed he had something.

Thoughts?

I think it is ok as played. You can bet smaller on river but not too small.

Sizing could be smaller for sure. It’s also interesting to know why you are 3betting pre-flop against a player with a PFR of only 11,49. Even if it was a FR regular he is a tight player and I don’t think we need to change this hand in to a bluff.

I like the turn check. Sucks to get check raised by a J in this spot. I like taking the free card and evaluating river.

On the river, I think good arguments can be made for any bet size 1/2 pot +. His calling range here “should” be fairly narrow. AJ, KJ, QJ, J10 and a lower flush will call or even raise a big bet. Monsters are of course going to raise. QQ, however unlikely, could call a something like 1/2 to 2/3 as a bluff catcher. Should not have a bigger pair than QQ judging by the pre flop action.

What would your plan be if you bet, say, $5.00 to $6.00 and you got raised? Are you bet folding? Bet Calling? I am not critiquing, I am curious to hear your thoughts since you are playing a level higher than I am.
