Hi this is my first post on english version of the forum and im happy to start analysis with you guys. I have trouble in spots vs fishes that i dont have info on so this spots will be posted sometimes.

Villain is a FISH, i have 163 hands on him. I dont consider his 71% Fold to Cbet stat as its after only 7 opportunites. I had a note that he passively plays Flush draws. Do you fold the river ?

You have atleast 2 fishy players at the table : UTG + MP.

Think about it, if you play for set mining vs the fish you want a bigger pot. If you just check from BB the pot is way to small to win something with your set.
With your hand i will raise preflop, in this spot somethink like 10c. This way if you hit your set you will build a nice pot for yourself.

Well you should, even if you dont have to many hands on him you already know some of his tendencies and you should take them in to consideration.

When he calls 2 streets and he raises your river bet ( and it was a BIG raise) that he has better than a Pair or a bluff. People dont bluff that much on the river on NL2. ( I play the same limit at the moment )

But he is a fish, he can easily have something like 2 Pairs here. And because it is a limped pot and you didnt raised you cant really put him on a range.

I´m calling the river with my set, but i´m not that happy with it.

Good luck ! :f_drink:

I dont isolate cause im out of position, have 2 limpers (i know that there are 2 fishes, but i mainly consider river decision) and i flop middle pairs etc often. My fold equity is not so great vs. 2 limpers. Although Open limper have stats 22/17 and 14 3bet after 47 this is not enough to assess that i will get HU. Maybe i think wrongly about 99 pair potential but i definetely wont play it for a set and play fit or fold OOP if my cbet bluff dont work - i will get only SDV but its hard to realise OOP.
I will describe also my preflop choices next time because i weremt being going for a set mine as you think.

Also im very confused is 7 opportunities is enough to really consider it as a valuable information. Would like to hear more opinions about that

Raise pre for sure.......$.10 to $.14. Taking the pot pre, with no rake and no resistance is a good result. I would never check my option in BB in this spot. They can be limping anything here. Sucks to let a limped K4s UTG see the flop and out flop you. Raising likely cuts the number of opponents down, charges overcards, charges underpairs to your 99, starts building a pot for when you flop huge, etc.

If you had raised, and gotten called by all 4, pot is close to $.50. I’m 1/2 potting flop which sets up a nice big turn bet/shove. With less callers, I am still betting with the intention of getting my stack in the middle.

As played, I think you have to call. This can be set of 8’s, set of 2’s, set of 7’s, AK, two pair, etc. Lose to KK, BD flush and some weird straights. Certainly not a fist pump call but there is enough hands that you beat in a limpers range that this is a call.

I typically would raise most any pair in the above scenario. The possibility that all fold and you take it down pre without rake + typically it will narrow down the number of opponents in the pot + building a pot for when you hit your set + you can still win some pots post flop on favorable boards (or more importantly, unfavorable boards for your opponent(s)) + small to medium pairs are so easy to play post flop (if you hit great, if you face heat, so be it, fold and move on). The positives far outweighs the negatives. Sure, you only hit like 1 out of 8 times or so but look at it this way:

Say, in the hand above, you raised to .12 and got called by all 3 limpers, you now have a pot big enough to bet standard sizes on the flop and turn and get your $$$$$$ in the middle with the goods BEFORE the river scare card comes. You have invested .12 (6bb) and have created a 48bb pot, would you call with 99 if you were offered those odds? If you miss 4 way, its a simple check/fold. If you get limp/re-raised or something weird, simple fold.

Flopping sets 3-4 way is MASSIVELY +EV.

I like the iso raise here. No need to play limped pot.

Call river and make a note.
