PokerStars, $0.91 + $0.09 - Hold'em No Limit - 150/300 (25 ante) - 8 players

UTG: 5,086 (17 bb)
UTG+1: 3,628 (12 bb)
MP (Hero): 7,318 (24 bb)
MP+1: 5,217 (17 bb)

SB: 4,944 (16 bb)
BB: 7,984 (27 bb) VPIP 31, PFR 19, 3-bet 8.3, 54 hands (not enough for reliable post-flop stats)

Pre-Flop: (650) Hero is MP with J A
2 players fold, Hero raises to 645, MP+1 calls 645, 3 players fold, BB calls 345

Flop: (2,285) 8 4 3 (3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, MP+1 checks

Turn: (2,285) J (3 players)
BB bets 1,257, Hero calls 1,257, MP+1 folds

River: (4,799) 9 (2 players)
BB bets 6,057 (all-in), MP (Hero) folds

Total pot: 4,799
BB wins 4,799

Hi,

This was about 8 eliminations away from money

Flop - wet board vs 2 opponents, hence no cbet
Turn - think I have to call once once I turn TPTK. Should I consider shoving, or would that be too optimistic?
River - don't think I can call an overbet?

Thanks!

On the turn I think if you have the ace of spades you could possibly consider shoving as you block nut flushes?

Same concept on the river, could possibly call the shove with a spade blocker but for fold any combo that doesn't have a spade?

This seems like a good approach, but now I would play the same way what you did with folding the river, but his shove looks fishy for sure.
