PokerStars - 10/20 Ante 3 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

CO: 80.25 BB (VPIP: 20.61, PFR: 16.51, 3Bet Preflop: 8.06, Hands: 335)
BTN: 74.35 BB (VPIP: 66.67, PFR: 50.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 6)
SB: 73.85 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: -, Hands: 1)
Hero (BB): 71.85 BB
UTG: 74.85 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 1)
MP: 74.85 BB (VPIP: 38.05, PFR: 17.27, 3Bet Preflop: 14.81, Hands: 115)

6 players post ante of 0.15 BB, SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 2.4 BB) Hero has A♣ Q♦

fold, MP calls 1 BB, fold, fold, SB calls 0.5 BB, Hero raises to 5 BB, MP calls 4 BB, SB calls 4 BB

Flop: (15.9 BB, 3 players) A♠ 9♦ J♣
SB checks, Hero bets 10.6 BB, MP calls 10.6 BB, fold

Turn: (37.1 BB, 2 players) 9♠
Hero checks, MP bets 19 BB, Hero calls 19 BB

River: (75.1 BB, 2 players) 4♦
Hero checks, MP bets 12 BB, Hero calls 12 BB

On the turn i have most of times a value bet, there are some Ax hands worst that still call a bet but here i decided to control pot due to the small spr, and i have only TP so i check-call. I think in this hand the biggest problem is the spr and how to manage my bets.

Cumps ;)

I would normal bet the turn for value. If you bet like 18bb you have still 38bb left to shove on the river and that’s not too bad. Another option would be to bet the flop a little bit smaller. 8bb is big enough on a dry board like this. As played you can’t do much else than calling him down I think. Especially on his small river bet.

i think the hand is well played, if river was 35BB then it would be a tricky spot but I think he made it easy for us to call him down and probably be ahead.
Also to me postflop AF is a big indicator because if a totally passive player starts betting it is a big tell for me.

On the flop i made a big bet because i'm against two players and normally i like to bet more on multiway pot but yes i have to plan better my bet sizes
