Not sure about which line to follow here...

$0.02 NL - Holdem - 8 players

UTG: 100 BB (VPIP: 20.72, PFR: 15.09, 3Bet Preflop: 3.94, Hands: 396)
Hero (UTG+1): 110 BB
MP: 150 BB (VPIP: 23.08, PFR: 11.54, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 27)
MP+1: 40.5 BB (VPIP: 44.12, PFR: 5.88, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 34)
CO: 104 BB (VPIP: 25.00, PFR: 6.25, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 32)
BTN: 43 BB (VPIP: 13.16, PFR: 10.53, 3Bet Preflop: 7.14, Hands: 38)
SB: 138.5 BB (VPIP: 18.95, PFR: 8.50, 3Bet Preflop: 3.03, Hands: 461)
BB: 100 BB (VPIP: 13.61, PFR: 9.36, 3Bet Preflop: 2.62, Hands: 616)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 8♠ 8♦
Thoughts:

Spoiler

Standard open raise. For the past few days, I've been "testing" open raises of 5BB from EP/SB and 4BB from MP/LP.

fold, Hero raises to 5 BB, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, BB calls 4 BB

Flop: (10.5 BB, 2 players) 7♥ 7♦ 2♣
Thoughts:

Spoiler

C-betting more for value (against Ax, overcards and smaller PPs) than for fold equity.
The guy has a fold to cbet of 5/9 (56%).

BB checks, Hero bets 6 BB, BB calls 6 BB

Turn: (22.5 BB, 2 players) 9♣
Thoughts:

Spoiler

I really don't know if I should continue to fire here or not and what to do if I face resistance :f_ugly:
I suppose, if I check behind here and the river is not an overcard, I'll have to call a moderated river bet of those tag/regulars, from time to time.

BB checks, Hero checks

River: (22.5 BB, 2 players) 5♠
BB bets 14.5 BB, fold

Spoiler

BB wins 21.5 BB

Normal I would max 4x pre-flop without any limpers pre-flop, but this isn’t too bad.
Now I don’t think you can play it to much else than this against TAG. He need to over play Ax to make this call profitable, but I doubt he would call with this on the flop.

Cheers,
