Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has J♥ J♠

fold, fold, Hero raises to 2.2 BB, SB calls 1.8 BB, fold

Flop: (5.4 BB, 2 players) 2♣ 9♠ K♣
SB checks, Hero bets 3 BB, SB calls 3 BB

Turn: (11.4 BB, 2 players) 8♥
SB checks, Hero bets 6 BB, SB calls 6 BB

River: (23.4 BB, 2 players) K♥
SB bets 18.4 BB, Hero ???

Standard open raise preflop. From BTN i adapted my OR size to 2.2 BB. OTF the board more likely is hitting my range better than his, so i´m cbetting for value on his check. After his check OTT i was sure to still have the best hand. He might have some weaker aces, maybe with a FD and some 9x combos.
The 2nd king OTR gave me a good feeling. But unfortunately i´ve been confrontrated by almost a pot size bet? A king would have been raised at least OTT. Bluffing a busted FD? Call or Fold? What u guys think?

i would fold, for the raise size, however i would put him with a 9.
My guess is that when he saw the 2nd K he thought u didnt hit the board.

btw i still dont like the preflop betsize ♦

edit btw just saw a hand just like that and the vilain did have a busted FD!

I would say call and fold are close at this point. You should make decision depends on your history with villain. Vs an unknown player, I would probably call otr.

The fact that K hits the board lessens the possibility of villain having a K himself...

I believe that the villain thought the same about hero. He tought hero didnt hit the board and made a big bet to take him off the pot.

Exactly my thoughts that makes me find the call. Villain showed KTo.

Well, the K on river lessens the possibility of him having a K himslef, but this does not mean he can't have one... :)

Call call donk line is often very strong. I would say over half of the time villain will do this with 2pair or better and very rarely with pure air. Sometimes they do this with just some mid strength hands for some reason.

Since this is not a clear super value heavy line like river raises are, I'm not overfolding too much. I would approach this by thinking what other hands you can double barrel this and if JJ is too good to be folded. In this spot you still have a lot of Kx in your range (you probably open every Kx combo pre), you have AA,QQ, all of the sets, 89s and probably even 89o.
I think JJ could be close against this big bet size and against this line from villain.
