Hi all,

Just getting into SnGs. On Party Poker, it seems like there aren't any standard 3$ trnys, only speed and turbo.

Can anyone confirm?

Thanks

Tim

I dont play there but I think you are right.. also their rake at the lower stakes SnGs are said to be horrible compared to other sites like PS or FTP

Hi,

Im playing $1 SnG turbo on party and its working great to me. But you need a good volume to see a nice profit.

And they take the rake out of the prize pool on party. But it is so fishy on the $1 limits though so it makes up for it. LOL.

Questionable RNG !,far to many straights +flushes ??

Yeah only turbos and speed.

I made $70 profit after 5-6 days on the $1 games. Now I am playing the $3, I made $10 today only, some bad beats and only 20 games.

The $1 are crazy, you will get tons of bad beats, but after playing a few hundred, the profit is nice!

Not again :(

If you don't belive the RNG then why bother playing poker?

10$ on 20 games seems like a pretty good return to me, based on my meagre experience. Anything over 10% ROI is decent, I reckon.

Actually that statment was not right.

I played 16 $3 turbos, got 3 first places, 4 second and 1 third. Around $21 profit.

Do you play with the ICM? I like the idea and use it, but sometimes pushing from SB with any two

Hi Dante63s,

Without wishing to be argumentative, are you really suggesting that 16 games is a representative sample?

My first 16 games brought me a profit of 33$ - i.e. "70% ROI" (on investment of 48$), but I'm not suggesting my actual ROI is 70% - it's a meaninglessly small sample. 1,000 would be more realistic.

You might disagree with my saying 10% ROI at 3$ is a decent return, but you can't use your 16 game lucky streak as evidence, I'm afraid. In other words, wait till your ROI levels out - it won't take long.

By the way, you said:

Now I am playing the $3, I made $10 today only, some bad beats and only 20 games.

20 games at 3$ = 60$ investment. 10$ profit is a return of 16.6%, which rather supports my statement that anything over 10% is 'decent'. If you're expecting 20%+ ROI when the rake is already 20%, I'm afraid you're likely to be disappointed.
