Hello! Would be glad to receive any tips about the hand below. Unfortunately, I'm new to the room (Tiger Gaming) and don't know how to post hand correctly, so i will manually describe it, sorry for inconvenience:
The hand is near bubble (soft bubble now i would say), tourney is 9max , but this hand was played on short table, 7 players and one guys was just eliminated so there was no SB
Blinds are 350/700 , ante 70, initial pot 1190
Player1 (23214) UTG
Player2 (27622) UTG+1
Player3 (14304) MP1. Notes: "MP2 olimps KcQc - raises on Jh6hQc flop"
Player4 (9324) HJ
Player5 (17488) CO
Hero (5898) BU with 2s2d
Player7 (11076) BB. My opinion of him: Loose passive. got lots of notes on him

Action:
1) Preflop everyone folds to Player3 on MP1 who open raises 2100 , everyone folds to me on BTN i shove (5898) with deuces, Player 7 calls 5898, MP1 reshoves 14304, Player7 call all in and shows ThTs , MP1 shows KsQs and me with 2s2d
2) Flop Ts8h4s
3) Turn Jh
4) River 5s
MP1 wins 29408, i was eliminated. I really wonder if my shove was ok here with 8,5bb left, though i considered MP1 as a solid,tricky player and was expecting in his range AJs+, AQo+ and 88+.
Would be happy to hear your opinion, sorry for that inconvenient hand post,
Thanks!

Hey dardoolb,

You may have answered your own question, give the range that you put MP1 on.

It's a clear fold. With 8.5 bbs it can certainly be an open shove, but not a 3Bet shove. There is good pot odds for the loose BB to get involved as well as no fold equity against MP1.

       Equity     Win     Tie
MP2    66.43%  66.11%   0.32% { 88+, AJs+, AQo+ }
MP3    33.57%  33.25%   0.32% { 2d2s }

As you can see, you are in a bad spot against the MP1 open and that doesn't include the BB getting involved,

Better to wait for a spot where you can shove first.

Regards

Laz

I have moved your hand to our hand discussion board, because it fits better there.
22 seems like a fold to me as well. Especially with a loose passive player that’s opening 3x in middle position.

Cheers,
