Hey everyone,

My names Chris, I'm from England (but live in Asia) and I'm relatively new to poker. I stumbled across Spin Legends by accident really, but I'm hoping to one day 'crush Spins' with them. It's good to aim really high, right?

I've yet to play a spin as I was only granted access to all the silver strategies today so it is now time to get studying. I notice people tend to make monthly goals so mine for August are:

Poker:
Get the most basic elements of the basic strategy committed to memory.

Try and stop having a mental breakdown when looking at the immense number of complicated preflop charts and try to remember the right moves for the most common situations.

Play 500 $0.25 Spins. This is the one which will be the hardest as I'm likely to just spend the whole month on the theory and strategy... which is probably not the most efficient way to learn.

Life:

Carry on with the Strong Lifts 5x5 weightlifting plan. I started that this week and will train Mon/Wed/Fri

Resume my Kung Fu/Tai Chi and Chinese language lessons as I've been lazy recently and let those slide.

You might be surprised to see 'life goals' here too, but I've noticed the really great (and profitable) players seem to have a really balanced life. They grind poker really hard, but also seem to have other interests they pursue with equal dedication. I feel physical exercise will benefit my poker playing too as I'm 34 years old now and years of being a couch potato have taken their toll, although I'm freakishly skinny and appear to have been constructed out of pencils. I read that exercise is good for mental focus and mental health as well as the obvious physical benefits.

So, that's it post number 1
I tend to ramble on with my speech and indeed my writing so if you read it all, thank you! haha. I will try to do a big update once a month, smaller updates weekly and posting of hands as and when required :f_drink::f_cool:
