I will try to make this blog interesting, I don't know how yet, but hopefully I will figure it out. I really never have blogged much before, so this some what new thing for me. If you have any tips or feed back, will be more than happy to hear it

Quick update from my start of the week.

This week is looking promising I would say. Just had a decent session. I know I made some mistakes on this session, some maybe even crucial mistakes. I will take a closer look tomorrows morning and analyze my play on this session. I marked some hands where I played to loose and also some hands where I played too tight and missed some value. I am trying to become a mixed player, who has a solid pre flop play and good post flop knowledge so I can battle with regulars as well, not just fishes.
Session started quite bad for me, I guess got unlucky. I still struggle to keep my A game after a bad start, also a thing I need to fix. Some poor decisions were made during the session, but over all I am okay with my play. Not happy about it, but also not sad about it. I think today was my B- game.

Dear readers! (hopefully some one is reading this)
As one of my this weeks goals were to make pre flop opening ranges. So here they are.

One thing of course is making the ranges and the other is adapting those ranges to your game. For the rest of the week I will be trying to adapt to these ranges and hopefully do it successfully. I wont make it too complicated so ill go with small steps. First Ill adapt open ranges, then I will create calling ranges, then 3beting ranges and so on.
Don't want to make it to complicated. Also it might be hard for my mind to adapt to too much information at the same time, so I rather make small adjustments and master them than trying to adjust my pre flop game right away and do it poorly.
Also I started to read a poker book, ''Harrington on Online Cash Games; 6-Max No-Limit Hold’em''. So far its really interesting and authors points does really make sense. After I will finish reading this book, I will read Mental game of poker, cause I need to improve it a lot.
Also one of my goals were to find my 2 most costly leaks so far. Well 1st one I found, and I think its a must fix ASAP leak is my tilt. If my session starts off bad, I keep making poor decisions. I stop thinking about playing my A game, but instead I start to think how can I get that 1 BI or 2 BI back as quickly as possible. I start to play wider range of hands and of course end up loosing even more. I think I must evaluate some kind of a system to overcome tilt issues. I am thinking about creating a stop loss limit. If I will loose more than 3 BI, I will call it a day. Unless I loose them in morning, in that case I will take another session after work. I am trying not to be results oriented, but every now and then I keep checking my active session results, which I guess is not a good thing to do. One of my ideas on how to fix tilt and being results oriented was to find a good music to listen to while grinding. So I wont loose concentration and be able to fully focus on the game. Maybe some one can give me some good music to listen while playing? I prefer some what of a medium speed, but aggressive music. But not just poor techno or house, but with some churros as well. But also if some one can recommend some slow and peaceful music I will check it out as well. But please don't recommend meditation music or something like that. I need some kind of a music that keeps you entertained and don't let me relax too much.

Also I have decided to play some tournaments in Saturdays or Sundays. Maybe not every weekend but it might be fun to play 1 or 2 tournaments during weekend. probably will go for 1.10$ and 2.20$ maximum. Who knows maybe we can significantly increase our bankroll.
Right now I am trying to crush NL5, but this week is really bad for me and no I am not talking about bad luck or cold deck, I am talking about poor play from me. Once I hit a strong hand, I found it hard to let it go in a muck. Ive caught myself being at river facing an all in shove and I know he has a stronger hand than mine, but I still call off. Saying to my self, but just in case he is bluffing. And it goes like this, 1/5 times the villain is actually bluffing, but I keep making the same mistake over and over.
But the first thing to solving a problem is finding it right? Same goes for leaks, I must find em before I can fix em.
Rest of the week will be a mental challenge for me, to start fixing and improving at the leaks I mentioned above. I still have to grind for around 4k to reach my hand goal for this week. I think I will be able to do it, but on weekend I will be out of town so no poker during weekend. I think it will help me more than harm me. Having a 1-2 days rest from poker will only help my mental statement. Will be able to forget bad beats, plays and so on, and return to tables fresh on next week.
Well if some one actually read this sheet, I will be more than happy to hear any feedback from you. Knowing that some one actually reads this and maybe finds it some how interesting motivates me a lot to keep doing this blogging thing.

Just finished a session. Well I had to end it, cause of stop loss. It was a complete disaster, I was running bad really bad. Tons of bad set ups, KK gets destroyed by a random 45 calling 3bet :D. Flush gets destroyed by a full house, set vs flush and so on so forth.
The only positive thing about this session was I never got below B+ game. Music really helps to keep the focus on the game and helps me concentrate.

I cant really put him on a set, simply because his playing too passive OTT. And no way I can even imagine he has a KK. Board is to wet for him to check a set. Also I think A high flush draw here fires a 2nd barrel most of the times. OTR I raise him simply because I put him on a flush as well, I exclude his A high flush draw combos so I think I am totally fine on raising here and when he jams I was actually happy, because I was confident I am facing a weaker flush. I think raising there River here was fine, but I probably should have folded to a re raise.

And this was the only hand I won with on all in. Multi way pot, 3betting here to squeeze out the original raiser, but they both call. Flopped OESD, my plan here was to call 1 cbet, and fold turn if I don't improve to straight. And atleast for this time we did. Stacked off the fish

Rest of the hands were some average pots between 30-50 BB where I lost some and won some. I think if luck was on my side tonight, I would have crashed the tables today. Overall I am happy with my play style and I don't mind to loose this session, cause I know I will crash the next one :f_drink::f_thumbsup:

i see some betsizing mistakes, think about stack to pot ratio. the 87s hand is a great example, you set yourself up for a negative freeroll spot on the river - he calls all worse hands and only raises better, yet when he raises you feel that you're pot commited (surely you didn't think that you were in great shape)

Yea agreed. Basically After my bet OTR I am pot committed. But is the bet sizing mistake here OTR? What would be the best line OTR? Bet like 35-40% of the pot and fold to a bet? Or check/call? If check call to how big of a bet I can make a call? 35-55%? Thank you for reading this blog in first place and also thanks for feed back and suggestions

the main "value line" would be to bet bigger the turn and ship river yourself (even as played you should still ship yourself if you think there's value).
that said, this runout is not good, so betting very small like 1/4 or just check/folding the river (hoping he checks back overpair, pair+draw hands) isn't insane. if you think about it, a lot of his range has improved and the hands that didn't shouldn't call your river bet

WEEKLY UPDATE:

Hi, time for a weekly update. Didn't played during the weekend, my godfather had a birthday party on Saturday so I took a day off from the grind. It was a really nice party as all of us were having fun. It was nice to spend time with my closest family members and overall a really great weekend. We also got lucky with a sunny day, so we grilled some BBQ. Got home a couple of hours ago, spending the rest of the day in bed drinking tea and watching tv and surfing forums. Hopefully some break from the grind will improve my mental game, but we will see how the next week goes.
So the goals for this week were:
* Play 10 000 hands
* Study poker for 2 hours
* Find at least 3 leaks and improve there.
* Create ranges for my pre flop play for every position.

I found more than 3 leaks, and hopefully I have improved my game a bit so I think it partially completed.

This is how the graph looks for this week. I need to start folding on the river more without having a strong made hand. I need to get my blue line way up and probably make some adjustments on bluffing, cause red line is way too high.

Even though this week was a loosing week, I am still happy about my volume. There is still plenty of room for improvement, so I will keep studying theory, analyzing my hand history and improving my leaks. Hopefully we can turn things around for next week.

I don't really have a goal for results, because that's the part which I cannot impact. I must keep playing my A game at each session and the results will be at the positive side in the long run so not really focusing on the short run results. I still feel hyped about poker, so there shouldn't be any problem with the volume.
I will take a session in the evening for around 2h. If there will be some interesting hands I will post em in evening.

Just ended my evenings session. Well the weekend off was a really good restart for my mental game, felt much more focused and decision making was a lot better. Played 1500 hands, and I think I made 90% good decisions and only 10% bad ones, so I am over all happy about my play tonight.

Dear readers,
I wanted to post a quick update about my situation. I had to withdraw 100$ so i got left 30$ to play with. My salary is a bit delayed, so I needed to pay some bills. Since I dont have a proper bankroll for NL5 now, it means I will return back to NL2. Its been a while since i played at that limit, but I think over all, it will come in handy.
I just had an morning session for around 40 minutes, and I must say, the players at that limit ar sooo bad. They call down 3 streets for their whole stack with just a top pair good kicker hand.
Maybe I was just lucky to play vs those fishy players, but I think the limit is so soft I will crash it in no time.
