hi, i've tried using *s*s*s for the syntax for flop selection to indicate any flop with 3 spades but equilab does not accept my input, any reason why and anyone knows how to solve the problem?

Works fine for me. Make sure none of the cards you try to put in on the flop are selected in any of the ranges. If for example you put Ts7s in one of the ranges, you can't enter those cards for the flop.
If you try to put in a flop without putting in any ranges, everything should work in theory. If that doesn't work, unfortunately I'm just as clueless as you are...
