My question is not so much about my hand but about the hand of BB. I had him marked as a regular with no weird plays.
1st: My fold-to-3bet is pretty high in BTN, probably not uncommon for NL 5. This means a resteal with 9♦:8♦: seems okay. If you would elect to play hands like this, wouldn't you want to make it cheaper? Around $0.40 maybe.
2nd: My 4bet-Range is very narrow in this spot. JJ+ AQs AKo. Again, not uncommon for NL 5. This is where I would never go. Shoving with 9♦:8♦:. Is there a reasonable way to justify his shove?
My goal is to see and learn what other regulars at my limit do. I have different regulars marked and if I have showdown hands of them I review them from time to time. Here I would totally disagree with his play.
What is your opinion? Am I wasting my time with this hand and he only wanted to make "a move" or is there something?
