Hello everyone and welcome to my blog.

In this blog I'm going to keep track of my bankroll challenge. In the past I've succeeded in multiple bankroll challenges but right now I'm in for something special. All of my previous challenges were MTT-minded. As I now don't have the time to commit 12 hours a day into grinding MTT's, I'm going to try out the cash streets.

I'm going to persue this challenge on Pokerstars. Initial plan was to play on Unibet but because there's almost no way you can keep track of your hands, I decided to choose otherwise. Not being able to analyse your own play is kind of a setback when you want to improve and become a better player. If you're 100% sure you beat a certain limit, there's no harm in playing the limit on Unibet because there's not much analysing to do.

That being said, I am going to try and maintain silver status by playing NL4 on Unibet but it won't count towards the challenge. I've put 100$ on Stars and thats what counts for the challenge.

Apart from bankroll updates, I'm not yet sure what I'm going to post in this blog but we'll see once we move on :)

Lets go!

For the people who might be interested in who I am as a poker player:
Interview about one of my previous bankroll challenges.

I've played MTT poker ever since I'm 18yo (I'm 30 now) and I have had decent successes. Biggest succes was running up the Sunday Storm for 20k$. Tournament poker is and might always remain my favourite game of poker but becoming a father has put me in a spot where I can't commit to poker for 10h+ a day anymore. The kid is way more +ev than any MTT will be ever be though so I don't mind too much.

So I kinda changed the plan a bit. I've edited the opening post with the details.
Tldr: going to play on Stars for the challenge, because I want to be able to analyse my game, which is impossibru on Unibet. Going to try and maintain silver by playing a bit on Unibet though, winnings on Unibet don't count towards the challenge.

Update:
I've had my first session on Stars and it was a swingy one. After being down 4 BI I worked my way up and after little under 3k hands I was up 2BI. Resultwise I'm happy about the session but not about how I played it. I am rusty about loads of spots and I think I simply don't beat NL5 because of my history as a midstakes MTT player. It's a whole other game and I need to consider myself as a total beginner again and start from scratch.

Watched the first part of Lemon's Tour De Stakes and that one is worth gold. Getting H2N stats thrown at you together with an on point analysis is valuable. Going to try and implement the concepts that are being told in that video in my game.

Going to play a couple of hours today, so let's hope for the best! I will come back to what I've learned from the video in a seperat post about study later on.

Starting bankroll: $100
Current bankroll: $111.33
Profit/Loss: $11.33

First week is in the books. Went pretty good overall. Played 5k hands and made a solid profit. Learnt alot and posted some hands in the forum. So I guess we could say it was a good first week.

Already played a session today and it was the total opposite of whats above...

Don't think I did much wrong though. Had loads of coolers postflop (set over set, set vs overpair hitting his set, ...) Going to review it a bit more into detail later on but for now it is what it is.

Starting bankroll: $100
Current bankroll: $115.62
Profit/Loss: $15.62
