I think I could bet bigger OTF like $1.25 to build a bigger pot when I hit.
As played, realizing equity OTT is not the worst plan, but I wonder if it's better to 2nd bar.
By my assumptions I have at best ~30% equity and won't have enough FEQ on the turn.
We also need 50% equity to value bet. So, bet OTT doesn't accomplish much.

Assuming that Villain x/r 2pair+ OTF. I left all FD (so my equity could be worse by ~2% as played, so 29%).
Board: T♥8♦5♦ 6♠
Equity Win Tie
MP2 31.36% 31.36% 0.00% { AdQd }
BB 68.64% 68.64% 0.00% { 99, 77-66, ATs, KTs, QTs, JTs, T9s, 97s+, 86s+, 76s, 65s, QdJd, Ad9d, Kd9d, Qd9d, Jd9d, Ad8d, Kd8d, Qd8d, Jd8d, Td8d, Ad7d, Kd7d, Qd7d, Jd7d, Td7d, Ad6d, Kd6d, 9d6d, Ad5d, Kd5d, 8d5d, 7d5d, Ad4d, Ad3d, Ad2d, ATo, KTo, QTo, JTo }
Conclusion: Since 6♠: hits Villain's range pretty good, I don't have FEQ and should realize my equity by checking back OTT.
