Hey guys!
Few days ago a friend of me played an interesting hand. That's why I can't load up the complete hand.
But I still know the situation. It was final 2 table in the Bounty Builder 33. He had a stack a bit under average and 30bb. He was 6/11 at that point. No real shortstack on both tables.
Now he was confronted with a 3x raise from the bigstack in the SB who seemed to be very loose. I assume he was stealing any two in those spots. His holding was A8o.
My question is now what's the best respond to that raise. Me and my friend had different opinions.

Thanks in advance!:f_smile:

I would just call pretty much always. But if SB style is to just open raise really wide and he is not applying any limping then shoving will be +EV also. But risk:reward with 30bb is pretty crappy for shove and when 3betting you also kind of throw away positional advantage. Which make shoving even less desirable combined with risk:reward. Small 3bet make no sense with this hand.
