Facing river 40bb all-in with overpair hot 22$

Hi,

so I have this hand here in 22$ tournament. Standard raise pre with aces, get two calls. Flop is definitely good for BB range and his lead makes sense if he has 4 or 7 or maybe some strong flash draw or some kind of flush draw and straight draw/gutshot and for sure hands like 55,66,88-TT. I go for raise here because I want to protect my hand and get value from over pairs. Turn is bad card for me, draw arrived. BB checks I decide to check bad. Do you go for bet here to protect against one card flush draws? River is pot donk for 40bb. Crazy. After long decided I called and worked for me that time, but question is if it is really good call here? Or I am too often beaten? I definitely showed weakness and scariness of flush so he can represent it but that was main reason why I called actually - it felt like good spot to bluff against me. I was prepared to call smaller bet but so big one was tough. What do you think? Thanks...
