Not many info on villain, seems to be playing quite decent, but should be treated just as a "not-fishy-unknown". (SNAP on 888, so no HUD)

I check river to try and induce a bluff from his club draws. (the most obvious straight draw TJ, got there on the river). Once villain shoves I just felt it was a high variance call vs and unknown. People aren't bluff shoving river that much at NL5 and I don't think he's shoving TT or JJ (the only 'value' hands I beat) for value there.

As played you are supposed to call lol. That's the point.
I quite like that river check for traping BFD etc ! But you have to not chicken out after lol.

Hard to fold when the flush draws miss. Be brave and call.

I do agree that your check induces bluffes and villain has them in his range.
Decent players will perceive their range as well and see what your check means.
You did 3bet pre, double barreled and now you check the river OOP. It's quite easy to put you on a range of hands on that board. You are mostly overpairs here.
This is a call most of the times against a shove. Despite of his sizing, you can call this profitably imo.
Bluffs will mostly polarize here. Values, like sets and DP, will bet smaller IF they can perceive your range.

It's not a 3bet pot zeto, he isoraised an UTG limper is all. That's why QQ is still quite high on our range. There are people that'd shove with A9 here or even worse.
We lose against so few combos folding is ridiculous. (We're even ahead of 79-78-89)

My bad, misread it. But still, what I said holds. QQ here is the top of your range (77, 99, TT++).
Yeah, we beat a lot of hands. Even those DP combos you said we beat them!

Moved your hand to our hand discussion forum. There fits it better there.
