Not sure if I've been putting myself in bad spots.
MP looked tagish/nitish (for some reason PT4 called him UTG+1, but it was MP2 in reality)

MP had been playing tight. I thought I could steal that pot without much resistance and I'd have position and ok hand to play in HU.
I didn't want to call here and be squeezed by BU or having to play between MP and BU.
fold, UTG+1 raises to 3 BB, fold, Hero raises to 9 BB, fold, fold, BB calls 8 BB, UTG+1 calls 6 BB
Flop: (27.4 BB, 3 players) J♠ 2♣ J♦

When SB cold calls that 3bet OOP, I put him in AQs+ or QQ-TT. I thought MP himself would have AK or QQ-JJ to not fold on that spot, even in that awkward position.
So, no point in cbetting here, even IP. I'd rather see a free card connecting me somehow to the board.
BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero checks
Turn: (27.4 BB, 3 players) 4♣

It was a small bet, I didn't improve and there was another villain left to act, so fold looked the best option here.
BB checks, UTG+1 bets 10 BB, fold, fold
Spoiler
UTG+1 wins 26.2 BB
