This is from a MTT but since I'm bot getting any hand advice in my blog I'm forced to post this here. I have an average stack, 209 ppl left out of 573, 54 places paid.

Full Tilt Poker, NL Hold'em Tournament, 120/240 Blinds, 25 Ante, 9 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

Hero (SB): 7,740
BB: 18,605
UTG: 9,845
UTG+1: 2,355
UTG+2: 20,791
MP1: 7,775
MP2: 5,685
CO: 5,655
BTN: 27,895

Pre-Flop: (585) Q♦ 8♥ dealt to Hero (SB)
UTG calls 240, 4 folds, CO calls 240, BTN calls 240, Hero calls 120, BB checks

Flop: (1,425) 8♣ 5♣ Q♣ (5 Players)
Hero bets 720, BB calls 720, 3 folds

Turn: (2,865) T♥ (2 Players)
Hero bets 2,400, BB raises to 6,600, Hero raises to 6,755 and is All-In, BB calls 155

River: (16,375) J♥ (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

Results: 16,375 Pot
Hero showed Q♦ 8♥ (two pair, Queens and Eights) and LOST (-7,740 NET)
BB showed K♣ 9♣ (a flush, King high) and WON 16,375 (+8,635 NET)

Is there anything I can do at any point? I know I should've bet more on the flop, he's even getting the correct odds to call with a flush draw on the flop. But besides that, anything I can do about this? My pot odds preflop are huge, 120/1305 = 1/10.88.

It's not naive of me to think I have the best hand here, hence my trying to get the flush draw out?

Hi icegooner4,

You should post all the hands here in the sample hands forum; very few people will give you handjudgements in your blog (cause blogs are for blogs not strategy ;)).

Fold preflop! Your hand simply sucks too much and connects way too rarely with the board. An offsuit 4gapper like Q8o is more or less the same as hands like 72o... just pure trash.

On the flop I would bet potsize. Then continue aggressively on the turn. The chances someone flopped a flush is very slim and I'd much rather get value from worse 2pair combos, overcards, and the plethora of draws with my top2pair. On the turn as played I'd also go broke.
