How to analyze when we have 3bet vs range for example vs 30% ? I know we play vs different players and we play postflop but how we can analyze this.

Equilab, Cardrunners-EV, solver tool or gto database.

If you are a beginner then I would recommend equilab or cardrunners-ev (But that takes more time at the beginning to understand how the software works. But you can use also the testversion for preflop spots for example. The trial time does not expire. Later you can buy the software the price is really fair and you can get good support by email or in the 2+2 forums thread.)

That depends on different things.
Like effective stack sizes, ranges, fold equity and from BU you cant 3bet just 4bet.
But equity is not everything playability is also important against a tight 3better its better to call low suited connector as hands like ATo for example,

Because you are crushed on every board with ATo against a tight (~7%) 3better.

But when we stars stack are full 25BB and we play vs unknow. I would like to have a starting point without it, it is difficult for me to create 3bet ranges.

It´s hard for a beginner to create own ranges. Just get a solid understandig of poker in general.
Start at first to create 3bet reshove ranges that is the easiest part.

- What is his open raising range?
- What does villain call against your shove?
- What is he folding?
- How much fold equity do you can generate?

Do you know how to calculate fold equity? Do you know what combos are?

I have started in very late december 2018 with heads up turbos sngs and I have checked out how GTO plays preflop and from there I can deviate.
Here is also my super cool blog  https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=2985134#post2985134
Ok, my blog sucks im so lazy when it comes to blogging lol.

Also try to think as much as you can about the game. You can study also content from other games to get a solid understandig in general.
I recommend to watch content from very good highstakes regs because they now how the game works.

so we have ,a 30% fold equity
and 59% equity vs open range
vallin std player
So how much fold equity we and how much euqity vs range we need.
How you now what 3 bet or fold. Or how some one creat the 3bet charts.

SB post 0.5bb
BB post 1bb
Pot: 1.5bb

SB open raise 3bb
Pot: 4bb [The pot is just 4bb and not 4.5bb because the SB has post already 0.5bb]

BB 3bet 9bb
Pot: 12

SB must call: 6bb so he gets pot odds of 2:1.
Pot 12bb amount to call 6bb so we have 12 / 6 = 2
Pot odds in %: 1 / (2+1) * 100 = 33%

Calling

The SB needs 33% for a profitable call. But not every hands performs good postflop with some hands you will not realize enough equity. So you should try to estimate your equity realization. A good player will realize with some hands more equity as a bad player.

So we now that we need 33% equity it´s also called raw equity. Let´s say we have a hand that is realizing 80% (realization factor) equity. How much real equity do we need?

The equation is: RawEquity / RealizationFactor
( 33 / 80 ) = 41.25%
So we need 41.25% equity and not just 33% equity.

And your next question would be probably: How do I know how much equity realization I have?
Answer: You cant know it for 100% so you must estimate it.

I have just one idea how to figure it out. In Pokertracker 4 you can create a report for your hole cards and then checkout how often you reach the showdown with certain hands. But you would need a really huge sample size to get a good result.
(Maybe someone other has a better idea.)

As you can see it´s not easy and it´s pretty much based on guessing. That´s the reason why I prefer to take my poker experience into account. If you have a solid understandig of poker in general then it is not that hard anymore.
You can take also a preflop GTO solver (SimplePostflop or PIO solver) and try to understand why GTO plays how it plays. But thats probably very hard for a beginner because you need a good understandig of poker in general.

Fold equity:

risk / ( risk + reward )
risk = 9bb [3bet size]
reward = 4bb [3bet size + current pot size]

9 / ( 9 + 4 ) * 100 = 69.23% required fold equity for break-even.

100% - 69.23% = 30.77% So the open raise should defend 30.77% of his range to deny auto-profit.
100% represents the whole range of the open raiser in your case the open raiser is open raising with a 32.43% (430 combos) range and
that is 100% of his range. Because he is open raising all 430 combos and that represents 100%.

I hope this helps maybe someone else has also a few hints for you.

thank you very much :)
But There is no such think like to 3bet some range we need 60% equity or some think ?
Why we need fold equity if our 3bet range is better ? And if he call weak hands he loss and if he fold he loss to beacause he give for us his equity without see flop ?
Where is some simply way to quickly check what we should play what no ?
Spin and go are really simply game and I not sure we need to calculate so deep .

You try to keep it simple as possible thats ok and good. But it´s not so simple how you would to have it. :megusta:

If villain calls always with the worse hand then you should not be sad. But your range should also contain bluff and these bluffs they need fold equity. AA of course does not need fold equity.

It´s not possible because Poker is not Tic-Tac-To. :-D

Spin N Go´s are easier to solve as 100bb 6max cash game. But don´t forget that it is also easier for your opponents.

@ 25bb
SB vs. BU: GTO plays nearly 3bet only because otherwise the BB gets a very good price and he can call with a very wide range and you would play OOP vs. 2 people. GTO calls just ~36 combos in SB vs. BU.

SB vs. BU GTO range: 21% (278 combos)

Equilab, SimplePostflop, GTO+, Cardrunners-EV, ICMizer.
I review hands, I think about new concepts, I play around with ranges, I analyze GTO solutions and I study stuff from highstakes games (6max, HU).

My assumption on micro stake spins player pool (no personal experience) would be that the open raise ranges are on tighter side and they likely call bit too much. So if that is true then tighter shoving ranges compared to nash ranges would be good.

Also versus minraise having much of shoving range is bit questionable as risk:reward without antes is pretty poor. If I remember right there are no antes in spins? So good amount of hands should be either small 3bet or call which 25bb does allow nicely. Calling has it own problems but in general playable hands can be ok. Also because I would assume BB is not going to 3bet squeeze often at all. Getting called by BB is not awesome either but that is reason why flat range should consist of hands that play good postflop.

In theory SB call range should have some balance from strong hands but that is bit tricky and not likely big worry without aggro BB.

Easy solution for beginner player to get his thinking evaluated would be to share played hands. So hand analyze area here or some other player group (skype, discord, etc. study group) would be nice solution.

As for tools equilab, tracker and HRC/icmizer will get you on nice start.

Thx :) I play 5 $ right now and I'm trying to understand how the hyper turbo game works. I have no problem to create some open range and call Icmicer trainer help me ,a lot, But to catch on how we should answer for mini raise make me some problem :)
In this game we normal play vs player without any info or small sample ,so if we see he open A7o we need now what range he can play as fast we can.
The problem is we dont no what part of his open range he fold or he call and I dont no how we can go with that.
But this is not some simple I think and only experience can help me :)
