When I was having a read around the sites I noticed the term "Strategy Points" used. I'm pretty sure that you earn them as a result of playing, but I was wondering how is the amount of points you get calculated?
Is it 1 point for every dollar you spend in entry to tournaments, or a fraction of a point for every so much in rake? I'm a little confused haha.

This should help you out.
Basically yh, you get points depending on how much rake you pay in cash games or in tournaments/SnG's fees. It usually something like $1 rake = 2 SP's. Some sites like party poker or pokerstar's give you points. These points then give you SP's aswell. Just click on the link to find out what your site gives.
Hope i helped

Well, thanks for the help (albeit it wasn't a great help, it was enough.)
Cheers Jack.
