Can I not expect resistance from the BB with quite a wide range of hands? The first hand may have been better to fold - although I'm not sure. And the second one (the AQ) is surely fine to call?

I am no SSS expert but yes on average players will be raising/reraising wide ...with AQ I don't think it was bad. But I play BSS... and if he is a good player he will put you on a decent range like ATs(maybeA9s)+, AJo+, K8s+, Q9s+, 77+ something like that seems reasonable for a SS to raise (and he will know that you will fold K8/Q9/77 maybe 88's if he reraises). I think it is more player dependant and you would need reads to find out how loose he will play back.

AJ+/88+ is common resteal range and this also means you can go broke whenever you have a hand from this range and someone resteals against you.

Both nice hands imo.

Also, check out the Steals and Resteals article from silver section for more detailed info.

thats not exactly true

restealing range means we can RESTEAL with these hands, not call resteals

in sb vs bb, however, i also go broke with AJ :)
