I recently had the opportunity to sit down for the first time at a table (Full) in Vegas. I played $1/2 No limit, max buy-in was $300 & my starting stack was $250.

After sitting & folding for a while I landed pocket Queens in MP.
I raised $15 (The table was commonly opening with $10, 12 & 15.) and 2 others behind me called.
Flop comes A, K, 4 rainbow.
I raise $25, next guy folds and last guy re-raises me $50.

Now, I had been watching as much as I could and this guy in particular had been winning several pots and seemed to be playing pretty loose & aggressive, playing almost every hand it seemed like. (Later, I change this opinion to him probably just being on a hot run of cards when I sat down but a very good player still.)

Based on what I thought I was seeing before, I figured he either had AK or Trips of one of them. My gut said said I was toast so I laid it down; but it didn't feel very good.
Did I just get marked as a tourist when I sat down and he just bullied me? Did I go chicken at such a large bet? I'm not good enough at calculating pot-odds and whatnot yet but would that even matter in this case?

I still feel I made the right play but some thoughts and analysis would be appreciated!

I have moved your hand to our No Limit hand discussion forum. There fits it better.
I'm no cash game player, but multi way I'm not a fan of Cbetting when you deal with 2 over cards and I would check it and fold on a reasonable bet and as played a fold is standard for sure.

Cheers,

QQ on AKx flop, rarely a good cbet, I think. You are not getting any calls from worse and you are probably not forcing an Ax/Kx to fold so I would just check here. After the raise, with no information that villain can do this with air, I would just fold.

Never a Win when AK shows up on a flop. You need to decide before the flop if You gonna ride the wave all the way, especially with pocket QQ & JJ.

Really no point in cbetting QQ on AKx. When you get raised it's a no brainer. Learn to fold, it's important even in live dude.
