Hello people. I'm writing from Turkey where there are countless wonderfully skilled poker players who cannot get a piece of all the online action because it is totally banned here. And I, for one, am extremely pissed off and sick of this ban, but there is nothing that we can do right now, such is our burden.
I have written to major poker rooms numerous times (Pokerstars, 888 etc) regarding the subject matter. They keep saying that they evaluate countries from period to period in terms of their risks and my country has been deemed risky in the last evaluation. I have lost hope that we will see the ban lifted in the near future, so I have started to look to other poker rooms that I can play online poker, one such being Bets10.
But truth be told, I hate that room. And I have done my research and seen that all the other rooms are in the same line as Bets10 so they do not attract me very much to say the least. So at this point, i have two questions. The first and less important is; do you people have any suggestions as to the rooms that I can comfortably play poker at?
The second and most important question; Can I open a bank account from another country where online poker is legal, and play there whenever I visit that place? I'd like to underline the word "visit" here, because I do not have a residence address or anything in the country in question. But I travel a lot beacuse of both my passion for travelling and my business. My concern is; would any bank from any country let me do such a thing without a residence address there?
Do you see how desperate I am to play decent online poker? I am ready to travel just for the sake of it for chrissake!
