Preflop I raise to 100 but 110 is OK. With TPTK the potsize bet is fine to protect against draws, you don't need to bet more than that. You can bet 2/3rds pot and up, but on a suited board like that I prefer the potsized bet.

On the turn the mistake is checking and letting villain see a free card. You should be protecting there as well...

With another blank on the river I am happy to go broke... Unlucky that villain had a made flush from the flop, but that's life...

Preflop I like.

On the flop I prefer betting 2/3. That makes our cbets when we have nothing a lot cheaper.

On the turn I prefer betting again.

As played I would bet about 350-450 and fold to any raises. The problem with betting something like 180 is that while our opponent won't bluff too often, we still can't just fold to a raise (because we've taken such a weak line). So it makes our bet more or less pointless. If we bet more like 350-450, we still extract value from worse Qx hands, and can get away from it easily if our opponent shows strength.

Can you please explain more of the turn protection:
I think that if I bet on turn (bet 200 (1/4 pot) to protect against river compleeting flush?),
-then a club on the river would make me fold to any half-decent raise (too dangerous).
-If I get raised on the turn, then I would fold.
-If I get called on turn and river does not bring a club, then I would have to raise more to blockbet on the river or call a higher bet by villain due to bigger pot.

So the only benefit I see is (2) - folding on the river if raised, so I save a small potential call on the river. Villain seems to either wait for his flush, or slow-play, so if he is slow-playing then I lose more.
Another reason why I did not protect the turn is "Big pots for strong hands - small pots for weak hands" (I'm thinking of putting that into a frame and on the wall=))). Raising the pot would give him higher incentive to shove and his fold equity is big enough.

Also, chenny, if I raise 2/3 on flop, then I give my opponent 2/5 pot odds against 1/4 odds of him completing his flush, so it;s profitable for him to call anyway. The bets are relatively small to the stacks so if I was holding a (high) club and facing such situation, I would call myself. Is that a mistake?
