River donk push is very bad. You can play KJs,KK,K9s,JJ this way but KQ or AK is simply not stong enough to push river.
Villain can easly have QTs,JJ,KJs or even 77 depends on villain You can see T8s as well
Anyway by betting River You are folding his bluffs and opponent will only call very good holding vs which you dont have value bet on the river

First of all I would say that there’s no need to 3bet KQs preflop if we don’t know how much he folds to 3bets (and we probably don’t after 27 hands). He seems aggro, but still we have to fold vs 4bet. If we just flat, our hand plays great against his wide range.
Secondly, I don’t understand your check/call turn / donk shove river line. That K on river doesn’t change anything. If you were ahead, you’re still ahead, and if you were behind you’re still behind. You’re trying to represent full house here, and I don’t belive straight will ever fold on this limit.

3bet pre vs BTN is totally fine, dont flat this often to offer BB a good squeeze spot or a good price and a 3way pot completely OOP. 3bet bigger vs BTN, 4 to 5x.
3 barrels or check call twice OTT and OTR. Check call turn and donk shove river is a fishy line imo.

I would most likely call KQs against an aggro player in position and let him bluff all the way with top pair or better. As pleyed I would bet for 3 streets of value with the intention to shove the river. Now I would let him shove the river. Now you get only action of a K or better if you would shove I think.

Cheers,

For those of you who don't even 3bet KQs SB vs BU I really wonder what your 3bet and flat calling ranges look like... I'd hate to call KQs here (not to mention most people'd hate calling anything at all), seems like a mandatory 3bet.

You x/c OTT and then lead OTR, why is that ?

KQs is played decent post-flop and I'm not a fan to play a potential big pot out of position.

I prefered 3 bet KQs+, AJo+ and 77+ in blinds vs button.

May be I had to make a strong bet at turn and fold at the river. But I think if I betted the turn, I would bet the river too.

But here Vilain had a pair of nines and I could not expect to meet a set. But I have to learn in NL2.

I think flatting or 3 betting pre are both fine although against an unknown i would lean more to flatting. OTF i think this is a standard cb looking to get called by a worst K or Jx, OTT i would continue betting for value but now i would also be narrowing his range down. Now on the river i would definitely try to stay away from donk shoving with the hand you have because like whats already stated you will only end up getting called by hands that beat you the majority of the time....

Vs standard fish who calls too much vs 3bet, I would 3bet, vs aggro I 3bet better hands for value, vs regs I also flat KQs, and 3bet better hands for value and way worse hands as bluffs.

Have you any idea how wide BU is supposed to open/call ? People steal more or less half the deck, so KQs plays very well as a clear value 3bet here. Against anyone.
Not defending your blind enough by raising is a common microstakes leak, you have to defend more agressively to deny more equity in villain's range and punish his wide stealing. As long as you don't raise much, he can steal way too wide because he's gonna play a SRP IP and realize his equity easily. (That's why we advocate stealing wider than usual at micros as the field doesn't 3bet near enough.)

I am surprised how many people will flat this. One must have a very special reason to do that because BU can steal any 2 and you'll miss the board in 2/3 of the time and you'll have to fold to CB, because BU can have anythng, you cannot give him a range. That's absolutely -EV. You expect to get paid when you hit, but don't count on that. Even a fish will have position on you and some idea for your hand.

To me the 3 bet is standard, but i would add another BB, for playing OOP.

Would barrel again OTT and then x/c river, wich is the same move i would do on your river scenario.

If the villain seemed more regish i would play more carefully OTT onwards.

PS just noticed its more ir less the same line of tought that zetozinho presented. Brilliant minds think alike 😎😁
